The goal for the evening is to spread awareness and to raise $5,000 towards Colorectal Cancer Research and the Cancer-Sucks cause. To help reach this goal, there will be a $25 admission fee for presale tickets, and $30 for tickets at the door. While colon cancer is an awkward topic to talk about, it is a deadly reality for a lot of Americans. According to American Cancer Society colon cancer is the third most common cancer. It is estimated there will be over 140,000 new cases of colon cancer and these cases will cause close to 50,000 deaths this year. However, in non-genetic situations, colon cancer is preventable and curable. It is the hope that Soiree in Blue will save at least one of those 50,000 lives.
