Dre Day Chicago Is Next Friday...

Once again it's on! Our annual celebration of Dr. Dre and his legacy returns to Chicago's Double Door for it's 9th year. What began as one-off party in Minneapolis, it has since grown to include over a dozen major North American cities, with a roster of renowned DJs, Producers, and Artists uniting each year, all for the love of Dre.

For the featured headliner in 2017, we're excited to present Get Up with the Get Downs! Since 2008, this 8-man band has been playing funk & soul with a punk twist. Their take on classic James Brown, as well as deep underground B-sides, makes them the perfect candidate to tackle Dre's sample-heavy catalog.

& As a special addition for 2017, the Nate Dogg / Eazy E memorial tribute will feature a live performance by guitarist Vivian Garcia + trumpeter Julian Harris.

The Hip Hop Project takes over the Door. No 3 section of the venue with DJ Scend + special guest Shazam Bangles on the 1s + 2s spinning nothing but West Coast, Gangster Rap, & G-Funk classics.
